Family camps - Autumn Session
Our autumn family camp on Thoddoo Island is traditionally timed to coincide with school holidays, making it the perfect opportunity for a family getaway. We’ve designed an exciting program for everyone!
Daily freediving training sessions for both adults and children take place on vibrant coral reefs, while excursions to national reserves offer the chance to snorkel with manta rays and sharks. In the evenings, there will be engaging lectures and presentations on marine biology (and more).
To help you experience the Maldivian way of life, we’ve planned a variety of activities, including a Maldivian cooking masterclass, fishing trips, and more.
SSI Divemaster / Diveguide course
The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your dive buddies and become an ambassador for diving by taking the Divemaster program. All you need to get started are 40 verified/logged dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility or at least 5 logged/verified dives experience in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. You will be certified as a Dive Guide after successfully completing the Divemaster program.
When your interest is to turn your passion into a profession by guiding certified divers, teaching Ecology programs, assisting instructors or even becoming an instructor yourself, your next step is the Divemaster Upgrade with a minimum of 60 logged/verified. Upgrade to Divemaster right away or any time after by self-studying the Science of Diving materials, passing the Digital Final Exam which makes you an SSI Professional.
Whale Expedition Winter Camp
Whale Expedition is inviting kids and their parents to participate in the annual Kids camp in Maldives. The team has searched far and wide to bring the largest selection of activities and ideas for the kids: board games, sports, marine biology classes, swimming and freediving lessons, snorkeling with mantas and nurse sharks etc.
